How Satellite Surveys Help Reduce Exploration Drilling Risk

Independent Validation Study Shows AMRT™ Achieved ~98% Accuracy Against 2,500+ Boreholes

CC Explorations recently completed an independent proof-of-concept validation of its AMRT™ (Atomic Mineral Resonance Tomography) survey technology in collaboration with Tiebele Mining SARL at the Kollo Sud gold project in Burkina Faso.

Unlike many exploration programs where results remain confidential, Tiebele Mining authorized the public release of this validation study, creating a rare opportunity to compare AMRT™ survey results directly against extensive conventional drilling data.

For mining and exploration companies evaluating new technologies to improve early-stage targeting, the findings provide valuable insight into how satellite-based mineral detection can complement traditional exploration workflows.

A Blind Validation Against Existing Drilling Data

Prior to the AMRT™ survey, the Kollo Sud project had already undergone significant exploration activity using conventional methods.

Over the course of more than a year, Tiebele Mining completed more than 2,500 boreholes across the property while defining polymetallic gold mineralization zones.

CC Explorations was subsequently asked to conduct an AMRT™ satellite survey over the same project area — without prior access to the drilling results.

The satellite survey was completed in approximately three weeks.

Following completion, the AMRT™ data was independently evaluated against the existing borehole dataset by Professional Geologist and Professional Engineer Dr. Barras.

The comparative analysis demonstrated:

  • Approximately 98% accuracy against the drilling dataset

  • Successful identification of previously confirmed mineralized zones

  • Correct exclusion of non-mineralized areas

Identifying Exploration Risk Before Drilling Begins

One of the most notable findings involved a rift zone that had originally been prioritized for drilling based on conventional seismic and gravity survey data.

Despite geological similarities to nearby productive operations, the area ultimately returned no significant gold discoveries after:

  • 358 boreholes

  • drilled to depths of approximately 300 meters

When the AMRT™ survey results were later reviewed against the drilling outcomes, those same areas had already been identified as non-mineralized zones.

This case highlights the potential role of advanced targeting technologies in helping exploration teams reduce unnecessary drilling and improve capital allocation before major field programs begin.

“We are extremely pleased with our blind verification test of our AMRT™ Survey. We highly recommend CC Explorations’ AMRT™ Services.”

— Mr. Mouni Anouga, Founder of Tiebele Mining SARL

Combining Traditional Exploration with Emerging Technologies

The collaboration between Tiebele Mining SARL and CC Explorations reflects a broader industry trend toward integrating emerging technologies with conventional geological workflows.

Rather than replacing geological expertise, technologies such as AMRT™ may help strengthen early-stage decision-making by providing additional targeting intelligence before drilling programs are initiated.

Following the successful validation study, Tiebele Mining formally introduced CC Explorations to the Ministry of Minerals in Burkina Faso. Discussions are currently underway regarding potential additional concession survey opportunities.

Reducing Exploration Timelines and Capital Risk

Traditional mineral exploration programs often require multiple stages of geological mapping, geophysics, geochemistry, and drilling campaigns that can extend over several years and require substantial investment.

In this case study:

Conventional Exploration Program

  • More than 1 year of fieldwork

  • 2,500+ boreholes drilled

AMRT™ Satellite Survey

  • Completed in approximately 3 weeks

While drilling remains essential for resource confirmation, technologies that improve target selection efficiency may significantly reduce exploration timelines, operational costs, and exploration risk.
